Indonesian,Papua News : Foreign Employees In Freeport Almost Became Victims Of The Shooting of Unknown Persons

Friday2018 / 4 / 27.Timika, Papua.Indonesian One unit of vehicle parked in Hidden Valley, around Mile 66, housing complex of PT Freeport Indonesia's foreign worker, in Tembagapura District, Mimika District, was suddenly gunned down on Friday morning (27/4). 

The Toyota LWB type vehicle with the number of hull 01,5222 was reportedly shot while parked in front of housing No 1025 B belonging to a foreign worker from Africa, Morne Francis Ras. A series of 8-10 shots just as Morne Francis Ras, an employee of PT Freeport Indonesia High Frequency Technical Advisor, was heading toward the shot. 

He had not gotten into the vehicle yet. Another expatriate worker as a witness, Craig Eugene Johnson, said the mysterious shots targeted the vehicle as soon as Morne came out of his home. He then saw Morne lying on the right side of the vehicle. Mimika Kapolres AKBP Agung Marlianto justify the event. 

He explained that the security forces serving in the national vital object area of PT Freeport Indonesia are now pursuing the perpetrators of the shootings. 

"Right (shootings), is currently being handled by Brigade of Amole Task Force," said AKBP Agung, winner of Adhi Makayasa Akpol 1998. Agung ensured there were no casualties in this event. 

But Morne Francis Ras and his family were reportedly traumatized and are being treated with psychiatric therapy at Tembagapura Hospital. No casualties. Officers have come to the scene and are pursuing, "said Agung. 

During the incident, warning alarms in Tembagapura and Hidden Valley towns were sounded to keep all employees quiet and not traveling until the situation was completely safe. 

They are asked to remain in the office space, while the family is in their own home. In the shooting action, LWB vehicle No. 01.5222 was damaged by a shot on the front of the hood, right rearview mirror, and the right side body hit two shots. (BKnews/WR/Irsl)
